I've been playing all kinds of guitars - electric and acoustic - professionally since 1971. I spent many years as both sideman and leader in bands of all descriptions, from classical to country, jazz to pop and playing in venues ranging from black tie dinners to northern bars, from concert halls to Peter Gzowski's Morningside. About 10 years ago, I committed to playing exclusively on nylon-string guitar, both the standard "classical" guitar and the more modern solid-body nylon-string model.

For the last five years, I have been the house guitarist at La Maquette restaurant in Toronto, where I appear four nights a week. In addition, I'm very active on the wedding music scene, playing both solo and in duo and trio settings.

Music is one of the most important parts of both the wedding and reception. The music is important. Very important. You can have a perfect looking wedding...perfect flowers, perfect attire, perfect decorations, perfect cake...but if the wedding music is bad then the quality of the event will drop (considerably). The music sets the tone for the enjoyment level of the event. You want your guests to have a good time. You want them to remember your wedding as a fun day. Music helps create the atmosphere.
